THE NAME
The name STUDIO NIJF is based on the word nijf, which is an old Dutch word used in the diamond processing industry. While a diamond was being cut, 1 surface was left untreated. This ‘nijf’ side showed the original state of the stone.
Loosely translated, NIJF means as much as original, authentic and original.
